Terms of Service
Version 1.0 • Effective: July 24, 2026
Last Updated: July 24, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Rx Challenger educational application. Please read them carefully before using the App. By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and Intelligent Mastery Coaching ("IMC", "we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the Rx Challenger application (the "App" or "Service").
Rx Challenger is a free, gamified educational application designed for pharmacy graduates and professionals to master prescription reading through real-world, anonymized patient scenarios. The App is developed by Ahmed Ezzat and published under IMC's Digital Solutions & Technology unit.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App on any platform (Android, Windows, Linux, or Progressive Web App), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy (available at https://imc-hub.github.io/digital-solutions/rx-challenger/privacy), which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
2. Eligibility
To use the App, you must:
• Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required by the laws of your country of residence, if higher);
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract;
• Not be a person barred from receiving services under the laws of the applicable jurisdiction (e.g., U.S. sanctions lists, EU restrictive measures);
• Use the App only for its intended educational purpose — learning and practicing prescription interpretation.
If you are using the App on behalf of an organization (e.g., a pharmacy, university, or training institution), you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Account Registration
3.1 Account Creation
Certain features of the App (cloud progress synchronization, leaderboards, cross-device access) require you to create an account. You may register using:
• Email and password (managed via Firebase Authentication);
• Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0, if you choose this method).
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at imc.hub.eg@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
3.2 Account Information
When creating an account, you must provide accurate, current, and complete information. You agree to update your account information promptly if it changes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false or misleading information.
3.3 Account Security
We implement industry-standard security measures (scrypt password hashing via Firebase Auth, TLS 1.3 for all communications) to protect your credentials. However, you are responsible for choosing a strong password and not sharing it with third parties.
4. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
• Your account credentials and all activity under your account;
• Your use of the App in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws;
• The content of any feedback, suggestions, or bug reports you submit to us;
• Ensuring that your use of the App does not violate any third-party rights or applicable regulations.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of the App (except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law);
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers, databases, or other users' accounts;
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation, including through the use of bots, scripts, scrapers, or automated tools;
• Use the App to transmit malware, viruses, or any harmful code;
• Impersonate another user or entity, or falsely state your affiliation;
• Use the App's leaderboard or social features for harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior;
• Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the App;
• Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices (copyright, trademark, patent) in the App;
• Rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, or transfer the App to any third party.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated this section.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Rights
The App, including its software, code, design, graphics, text, educational content (prescription cases, tooltips, patient histories, diagnoses), gamification systems, logos, trademarks, and all other intellectual property ("IMC Content"), is owned by IMC and its licensors and is protected by Egyptian copyright law, international copyright treaties, and other intellectual property laws.
All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by IMC.
6.2 Educational Content
The anonymized prescription cases, patient histories, chief complaints, diagnoses, and lab values included in the App are original educational content created by IMC (developed by Ahmed Ezzat, clinical pharmacist) or derived from publicly available medical knowledge that is not subject to copyright protection. These materials are provided for educational and training purposes only.
6.3 Your Content
You retain ownership of any feedback, suggestions, or bug reports you voluntarily submit to us. However, by submitting such content, you grant IMC a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute it for any purpose, including improving the App, without compensation to you.
6.4 User-Generated Data
Your learning progress, gamification statistics (badges, XP, streaks, leaderboard rankings), and preferences ("User Data") are generated through your use of the App. You own your User Data. We process it as described in our Privacy Policy. You may request export or deletion of your User Data at any time (see Privacy Policy Section 10).
7. License to Use the Application
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, IMC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
• Download, install, and use the App on devices you own or control (Android, Windows, Linux);
• Access and use the Progressive Web App version via a supported web browser;
• Use the App solely for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
This license does not grant you ownership of the App or any IMC Content. You may not sublicense, sell, rent, lease, distribute, or commercially exploit the App.
The App is provided free of charge. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or premium tiers. If you paid for the App through any third party, you were defrauded — please request a refund from that party and report it to us.
8. Educational Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: Rx Challenger is an educational and training application. It is NOT a substitute for professional clinical judgment, licensed pharmacist supervision, or formal pharmacy education.
• The prescription cases, patient scenarios, drug information, dosages, and clinical data in the App are anonymized, fictionalized, or simplified for educational purposes. They may not reflect current clinical guidelines, local regulations, or real-world complexity.
• The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or pharmacy dispensing guidance.
• You should not rely on the App for making clinical decisions in actual patient care. Always consult authoritative references (e.g., national formularies, clinical guidelines, supervising pharmacist) in professional practice.
• IMC, its developers, and affiliates disclaim all liability for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the educational content, and for any actions taken based on the App's content.
• The App's gamification elements (leaderboards, badges, XP) are motivational tools only and do not constitute certification, competency assessment, or professional qualification.
By using the App, you acknowledge and accept this disclaimer.
9. Availability of Services
We strive to keep the App available 24/7, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to:
• Scheduled maintenance (we will endeavor to provide advance notice via in-app notification);
• Emergency security patches or critical bug fixes;
• Third-party service outages (Firebase, Google Play Services, GitHub Pages, Vercel);
• Force majeure events beyond our reasonable control.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable for any loss of access to features, including leaderboard rankings or cloud-synced progress, during downtime.
If we discontinue the App entirely, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via in-app notification and the website, and will provide a method for you to export your User Data before shutdown.
10. Updates and Changes to the Application
We may release updates to the App (bug fixes, new cases, feature improvements, security patches) through the Google Play Store, GitHub Releases, or automatic PWA updates.
• Android: Updates are delivered via Google Play Store. You may need to accept updated permissions.
• Windows/Linux: Updates are available via GitHub Releases; automatic update checking is not currently implemented.
• PWA: Updates are applied automatically when you reload the App (Service Worker cache refresh).
By using the App, you agree to receive such updates automatically. If an update materially changes these Terms, we will notify you per Section 17.
We are not obligated to provide updates, support, or backward compatibility for older App versions.
11. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies:
• Firebase (Google LLC): Authentication, Firestore database, Crashlytics, Analytics (opt-in). Terms: https://firebase.google.com/terms
• Google Play Services (Android): Sign-In, Play Games Services (leaderboards/achievements, opt-in), Licensing. Terms: https://play.google.com/about/developer-distribution-agreement.html

We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, or data practices of these third-party services. Disputes with third-party providers should be directed to them.
12. User Content and Conduct
The App includes optional social features: public leaderboards (opt-in) and public display of your display name and badges if you choose to participate.
• You are solely responsible for your display name and any information you choose to make public via leaderboards.
• Do not use offensive, defamatory, harassing, or illegal content as your display name.
• We reserve the right to remove or modify any user content that violates these Terms, and to suspend leaderboard access for violations.
• Leaderboard rankings are based on in-app performance metrics (XP, completed cases, accuracy). We do not manually manipulate rankings.
The App does not support user-to-user messaging, forums, or user-generated prescription cases.
13. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy (https://imc-hub.github.io/digital-solutions/rx-challenger/privacy) explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the App.
By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Key points:
• We collect account info (email, display name), usage/progress data, device info, and crash logs.
• Data is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud) with encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
• We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising SDKs.
• You have rights to access, rectify, delete, and port your data (see Privacy Policy Section 10).
14. Disclaimer of Warranties

15. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
• IMC, ITS DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
• OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP (WHICH IS ZERO, AS THE APP IS FREE).
• THE FOREGOING LIMITATIONS APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY (CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE) AND EVEN IF ANY REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
BECAUSE THE APP IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION ARE REASONABLE AND REFLECT THE ALLOCATION OF RISK AGREED TO BY THE PARTIES.
16. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless IMC, its developers, affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or related to:

We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you will cooperate with us in asserting any available defenses.
